4 Reasons to Never Give up on your Dreams

The journey to your goals and aspirations is rarely an easy one but it is always worth it if you can just go the distance. Persevering when the odds are against you allows you to harness and draw upon all your inner resources of courage and determination. Every ‘block’ or mistake along the way can engineer you to be more tenacious, wiser, and purposeful toward your desire. You have all you need to succeed within you, accept the tough times as part of the scenery that surrounds your vision. Choosing to follow your dreams means you choose all that comes with it, you take the rough with the smooth. Here are 4 reasons to never give up!

1. Your breakthrough could be just over the horizon

You will never know how close you are to reaching your dreams if you lose consistency or allow fear to fade your commitment. Striving for something more is never meant to be easy. Remove all expectations and focus on the present time. Don’t lose yourself and your vision when the goal seems so out of reach, that’s exactly when you need to believe in it even more and believe in you! Your breakthrough could be ready to make its mark and everything that you have worked for could be on its way to you. Hold tight and don’t lose faith. Logic may tell you that it is not worth the hard road, but the most amazing things that can occur often take place outside the law of logic. When we seek certainty we shun the limitlessness of what can be achieved, possibility is boundless when we open our hearts and strive for our passions.

“Never give up on what you really want to do. The person with big dreams is more powerful than the one with all the facts” H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

2. You are always stronger than you know

Life comes with a multitude of lessons to allow us to embrace them and become better versions of us through them. Challenges and hardships offer an opportunity to get to know ourselves and really discover what we are truly made of. Too often we actually underestimate ourselves but what we inherently have is a tank of pure potential and an inner fire to see us through. Obstacles and adversity give rise to a phoenix-like resurgence- the ‘come back’ from hardship can propel you further as you build your inner muscle of fortitude. It’s hard to show gratitude for the tough times but we won’t realise how valuable they are to us until we can look back at them with a fondness for the deep learning curves they provided us with.

3. You will get to find out what you really want!

Challenges and obstacles have value because they teach us how bad we really want something. Those uphill struggles will take you on a route to self discovery and separate your truest desire from any passing whims. It will show you how committed you are to succeed and commitment really is key to the achievement of any ambitions. If you are passionate and unwavering for what you desire then there is not much that can stand in your way, only you! When you are set forth toward your goals it becomes less about motivation and more about having a purely stubborn and driven heart. The universe falls in love with those stubborn hearts with a warrior resolve.

4. Realise Your Worth

You live by your authentic standards. You choose to engage in what inspires you and you inherently know your value. It’s not to say that you are better or more valuable than anyone else- realising your worth is about you, not other people. Once you have tapped into that energy, don’t dismiss it- sometimes we need to fight a little harder to move forward but it is all possible when we value and trust ourselves. Let your gut guide you. Your self worth is like a powerful prism of light that sits within you; working toward your aspirations brings that light into sharper focus, more intense and vibrant. There is a blueprint or a design toward your dreams and you are the architect and master creator of it.

Following your dreams may seem illogical because it’s directed from your heart- your heart defies logic and is built on the premise of pure chance. That aspiration you have deep within becomes like a tattoo impression that is only seen through your eyes. Each curve of that tattoo forms your journey- trust it.

“Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark in the hopeless swamps of the not-quite, the not-yet, and the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. It exists, it is real, it is possible…it’s yours”- Ayn Rand
