Things I Don't Want to Forget

There are things I don't want to forget,

Like the early morning coffee,

The heat of a foreign summer sun,

Wading through the sparkly-bluey sea,

Where heaven splits through the clouds,

Where my peace is more than a dream

There are things I don't want to forget,

So I play them over in my mind,

Like a movie,

Like my favourite, soulful songs,

And in my heart, I cherish them

In these memories,

This is where I belong

A loving kiss,

Heart-spoken words,

Holding hands,

Creating jokes through life's blurs

A wink, a look,

The skyline hovering mountains,

A scene from a romance novel,

A holiday of the heart,

An adventure

A picturesque surrounding of natures art

There are things I don't want to forget

A gorgeous, happy smile,

Playing, dancing,

Laughing around

All the little things,

They pass by like a breeze
